The United States women’s national team won an unprecedented 3rd FIFA Women’s World Cup in Vancouver on Sunday. The Stars and Stripes got revenge from 4 years ago by defeating Japan 5-2. Carli Lloyd set the tone with the first hat-trick in WWC Final history and in record time with goals in the 3, 5, and 16th minutes. Lauren Holiday (14) and Tobin Heath (54) rounded out the scoring.
FC Bayern Release 2015/16 Away Kit
Bayern’s newest away kit features white with two shades of grey, two shades of red and navy trim. The collar is round and features a placket with snaps within the fold. The sleeves feature the trademark three-stripes in red, with navy cuffs on the ends. The front’s design features a thick stripe with all of the supporting colors in a gradient style. At the very bottom of the shirt, the hem stripe has a diamond trim. Within the trim are three diamonds, one in red, another in navy, and one more in grey.
Atletico Madrid reveal 15/16 Nike away kit
Atletico de Madrid continues celebrating 20 years of El Doblete, when the club won the Spanish La Liga and Copa del Rey. Their new away kit is based on the dark blue kit the Colchoneros wore during that fruitful 95/96 season, giving it a modern and fresh look.
Sevilla Unveils 2015/16 New Balance Kits
Sevilla is one of the clubs that wore Warrior prior to this new season, and they have officially unveiled their three New Balance kits, marking the return of the modern crest following multiple requests from their fans in recent years, when they used their very first badge instead. The shirts feature bold and interesting designs, a statement on the pitch by New Balance.
Inter Milan Reveal 2015/16 Away Kit
Inter Milan’s 2015/16 away kit comes in white with blue and black details. The collar is a round crew neck with a two-tone black and blue stripe on the sides and back of the shirt. The sleeves are a clean white. The Nike swoosh across from the badge is in blue. It includes a snake design on the front bar, and is based in the kit worn during the early 90’s, a successful era for Inter.
This week also had some MLS news, with the confirmation of Steven Gerrard being handed the number 8 in LA Galaxy and Pirlo receiving his iconic 21 at New York City FC. Atlanta United FC reveled their logo, a combination representation of the city and its passion for soccer.
