Built to win: Adidas introduces MESSI15 cleats
Last week adidas announced a revolution of the game of soccer. The adidas ACE and X cleat silos were introduced for players that control the game and those who cause chaos. However, Lionel Messi is different to everyone else, and an unique silo had to be created just for him and his specifications. The new cleat silo will make their on-field debut in the UEFA Champions League final against Juventus in Berlin tomorrow.
Storm the pitch: Introducing the Silver Storm Pack from Nike
Following on from the release of the first “Silver Storm” colourway in the form of the brand new Hypervenom Phantom II, Nike have now lifted the wraps off of its remaining three cleats, the Tiempo, Magista and Mercurial. All of them will stand out thanks to the combination of Wolf Grey with vibrant colors such as Hyper Turquoise (Magista Obra), Hyper Pink (Mercurial Superfly), Green (Tiempo Legend) and the already seen Orange for the Hypervenom II.
Ronaldo Wins Record 4th European Golden Boot
Cristiano Ronaldo took home a record 4th European Golden Boot award with his 48 goals in 35 La Liga this season. The Real Madrid forward closed out the campaign with a hat-trick. The march to the title took the contributions of 6 different colorways of his Nike Mercurial Superfly cleats although the bulk of the work was done wearing his 2 signature colorways, the CR7 Silverware and CR7 Shimmering Black.
The New York Cosmos made a historic trip to Cuba to play the country’s national team and World Soccer Shop was invited along to take in the once-in-a-lifetime experience. The beautiful game has a way of transcending borders but who would have thought this would happen even a few short years ago.
