Los Angeles Football Club officially launched
The new MLS franchise, set to begin playing in 2018, have finally revealed their crest and visual identity, an elegant combination of black and gold that combines Hollywood glamour with urban grit. That is not teir only connection with Hollywood, though, as the recognized comedy actor Will Ferrell is among the club’s owners, that also includes Vincent Tan (Cardiff City owner), USWNT legend Mia Hamm, the one and only Magic Johnson and others. This unlikely combination of forces will surely result in interesting things for a soccer team. We’ll have to wait and see…

It’s no secret that Didier Drogba wants to return to Chelsea FC as part of Guus Hiddink coaching staff, and it would be a huge morale boost for the club and its fans. This week, a rumor announcing his retirement began spreading on the internet (we even made a beautiful post with our top 11 Drogba moments) and the Ivorian decided to take the matter in his hands and put an end to it before it was too late. According to the news, Basketball and Soccer will come together next spring.
Zinedine Zidane, new Real Madrid manager
Everyone saw it coming: Rafael Benitez is not Real Madrid coach anymore. The club’s rocky start this season and total lack of connection with the fans were the reasons that led president Florentino Perez to terminate his contract and immediately name French legend Zinedine Zidane as his replacement. Zidane will restore the severed link with the fans, but the team’s performance on the field will be what ultimately decides if Florentino’s decision was correct.
