— Athletic Club (@AthleticClub) August 18, 2015
Athletic Club won the 2015 Supercopa de Espana with their 5-1 aggregate win over Barcelona. The victory was Los Leones’ (the Lions) first silverware in 31 years and not surprisingly was a reason for fans to join in the celebration along the estuary of Bilbao running through the city center. Athletic took control of the tie with their 4-0 win in the first leg at San Mames and then held on to draw 1-1 in the second leg at the Camp Nou.
The Supercopa de España is the pre-season match between the previous season’s La Liga Champion, Barcelona, and the Copa del Rey Winner. This year Athletic qualified as the Copa del Rey runner-up after losing to Barcelona in the 2014/15 Copa del Rey. The Athletic Club 2015/16 Home Soccer Jersey is available at World Soccer Shop.

The U.S. Women’s National Team are celebrating their World Cup title in style. A series of games against Costa Rica this month, Australia in September and Brazil in October is the perfect scenario to showcase the third star and the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The ‘Ticas’ could not contain the U.S. overwhelming attack, suffering a 8-0 defeat on Sunday and falling again on Wednesday by a 7-2 score.
Carly Lloid scored twice and Abby Wambach got her 184th goal with the star and stripes, while Alex Morgan chested the seventh and final goal. O’Reilly (x2) and Alvarado (Own Goal) scored the remaining goals. The USWNT Victory Tour range is available at World Soccer Shop.
Borussia Dortmund make epic comeback at the UEFA Europa League
Borussia Dortmund will not participate in this season’s UEFA Champions League, following a complicated run in the Bundesliga, where they even faced relegation possibilities. They recovered during the second half of the year, climbing to secure a place in the Europa League preliminary stage. They had to face Odds Ballklubb in Norway, and were surprised by the hosts and went 3-0 down at the 20th minute of the first half.
The German side had to trail and fight their way back, but they ultimately managed to set things right and get a 4-3 win, thanks to goals by Aubameyang, Kagawa and Mkhitaryan. The Borussia Dortmund 15/16 Ambassador Home Soccer Jersey is available at World Soccer Shop.

— Pedro Rodríguez (@_Pedro17_) August 20, 2015
Pedro Rodriguez was set to join Manchester United this week, but his story had a twist and he ended signing for Chelsea instead. The Spanish winger, who was the hero of Barcelona’s most recent title, claimed that Jose Mourinho had a key role in his decision to join the Blues in a rather surprising move, and will wear the Nº 17 jersey in their squad.
He’s already part of their training sessions, but isn’t very likely to be featured in their visit to West Bromwich Albion, when they will debut their brand new black third kit. The Chelsea 15/16 Third Soccer Jersey is available to pre-order at World Soccer Shop.
