In a bid to create some buzz around their 2016/17 home jersey by adidas, West Bromich Albion turned to dancers from the Spotlight Stage School to put on a flash mob to reveal the new home jersey.
The ‘shirt-stopper’ performance was spontaneously held at Birmingham’s Grand Central last Friday.
The new jersey features the club’s traditional navy stripes with this year’s edition having 4 stripes on the front with the side stripes wrapping around to the side of the jersey. The back of the jersey is solid white.
In a move to a new look, the club has added sky blue detailing to the jersey. The sky blue detail is used on the 2-button grandad collar, with the navy/sky blue sleeve cuffs, the adidas 3-Stripes that run down the side of the jersey, and the adidas Performance logo on the right chest.
Past jerseys have used red detailing on the home jersey.
Interestingly, it is one of the first Premier League jersey releases that include the new Premier League logo on the sleeve.
West Brom will be the only West Midlands’ club in the Premier League next season.
What do you think of the new West Brom 2016/17 home jersey? Do you like the addition of the sky blue? What about the solid white back?
