Liverpool unveiled the club’s 2014/15 third jersey today. The club’s jersey and apparel sponsor, Warrior Sports, is known for showcasing classic and experimental designs and the Red’s third kit is no doubt unique. The jersey will make its on-field debut when the Reds play Olympiacos in Chicago on Sunday, July 27.
This jersey kit consists of black and gray, with some red details. The jersey has a red polo collar with matching thin sleeve cuffs. The main design of the kit has black and gray horizontal stripes on the chest, with a sash effect coming from the right side which alternates the pattern to red and black. The sleeves are gray with a thick black stripe on each side. A golden Liver bird crest is at the heart of the shirt, while a white Warrior logo sits on the other side.
The back is black and blank save for a golden 96 memorial at the top, under the collar. The shorts are black with red trim placed at the back.
The socks have a diagonal black and red band at the top, with the club’s initials LFC placed at the middle, in golden. Standard Chartered returns as the sponsor.
Liverpool looks to win the Premier League this season. The Merseyside club surprised fans with a return to form by finishing second, only two points behind champion Manchester City.
