Spanish side suits up with the Three-Stripes brand as they prepare trip to Hong Kong
After parting ways with previous manufacturer Joma Sports, La Liga side Valencia CF quickly announced their newest partners in the German sportswear giant, adidas. The team were adorned in the Three-Stripes brand’s gear as they prepared for their trip to Hong Kong, where they’ll face fellow Spanish team Villarreal and the host Hong Kong Rangers in a three-way tournament.
The club stated on their official website that the partnership with adidas includes training and gameday kits and a wider range of retail distribution with a state-of-the-art megastore in downtown Valencia, the third largest city in Spain. It’s the biggest deal of its kind in club history. The deal is set to officially take off on July 1.
Los Che are a club well entrenched with Spanish and European honors. The six-time Spanish Primera Divsion champions were the last team from outside Madrid or Barcelona to win the league title, in the 2003-04 season, and made it a double that same season by also winning the UEFA Cup. Now, ten years after their previous glories, they are partnered with the world’s largest footballing manufacturer. Will this new deal elevate Valencia’s status back among Spain’s elite?
