The club’s mission is: "To help child survivors of war rebuild their lives one step at a time." And each year more players are graduating the program with an eye on a brighter future.
Coach Luma recently sent out news on recent off the field success stories from the program.
This fall Christelle and Shahir will be heading to private schools in the Atlanta area. Christelle, from Congo, will be going to Lovett, and Shahir, from Afghanistan, will be attending Paedeia.
Also three of our graduating seniors will be heading to college this fall. Natnael and Joseph, from Ethiopia, will both be joining Shamsoun at Pfeiffer University, and Mabior, from Sudan, will be heading to Bellhaven College.
Shamsoun completed his first year at Pfeiffer and made the Dean's list. We are very proud of all their achievements and know that they are paving the way for future Fugees.
