Toronto FC boss John Carver has asked the fans to rally behind the young squad he sends out against Chivas USA this weekend.

With nine players away on international duty, including Amado Guevara, Greg Sutton and Marvell Wynne, the BMO crew will have to again test their depth.   

"It is what it is," Carver told the Toronto Sun. "I just have to look at this as a great opportunity for our young players to step up."

"And you know what? Those young lads came through like gangbusters (in a win over Colorado last month)," said the coach. "You never know, maybe you will see that kind of effort again."

"It's so important that the fans get behind these young players."
