With only a single Bundesliga appearance to his ledger in 18 months with the club, Hertha Berlin midfielder Bryan Arguez is set to begin an audition for Belgian top flighters Charleroi.
Having rejected a 2.Bundesliga move last winter, the central traffic director will now try to latch on with the team that employed former U.S. Under-20 teammate Greg Dalby for one season without ever handing him a league debut.
Arguez, who arrived from D.C. United in January 2008, will train with the Zebras for an indefinite length of time starting on Tuesday.
"He left this weekend," Hertha press officer Robert Burkhardt told Soccer365. "I'm not sure how long he will be staying - probably however long it takes to say yes or no."
Though Arguez has found playing time hard to come by with the Blue-Whites, the Germans are not interested in letting him leave for free.
"We would give him on loan or sell him, but we would not give him away for free," Burkhardt informed.
Charleroi, who finished 12th in the Jupiler League last term, opened this season with a 2-1 home loss to Club Brugge on Sunday.
