Diskerud Joins U-20's In Egypt

U.S. U-20 Men' s National Team head coach Thomas Rongen has added Mikkel Diskerud to his team that will compete against Egypt on Saturday, June 27.

The Stabak midfielder joined the team in Cairo last night and will become the 19th player available for Saturday's friendly against the FIFA U-20 World Cup hosts in Cairo. Diskerud will rejoin Stabak on Sunday while the U.S. has another friendly against Egypt scheduled for Monday evening before departing Cairo on Tuesday, June 30.

The U.S. has been drawn into a difficult Group C of the FIFA U-20 World Cup and will match up against Germany on Sept. 26, Cameroon on Sept. 29 and Korea Republic on Oct. 2 in the first round. All three of the USA’s group matches will be played at the brand-new Mubarak Stadium in Suez.
