Aarhus GF midfielder Benny Feilhaber reports that a scan of his troubled knee has turned up less damage than feared, but he will still be sidelined for an as-of-yet undetermined length of time.
Since making his SAS Liga debut with a 40-minute substitute appearance in an August 31st loss to FC Copenhagen, the U.S. international has been resigned to watching.
"The doctors went in with a scope to see how the meniscus was and there was a very minor flap out of place, but that wasn't too big of a problem," Feilhaber told Soccer365.
"However, they found some bone bruising as well, so I have to sit out for a while now to let that settle, or else it will continue to be a problem," he added.
"I'm not certain how long this whole process will take yet, as it will depend how I react to the rehab and treatment."
Feilhaber will have some time to recuperate, as fellow American Jeremiah White and the rest of fifth place AGF are off from the league schedule until October 5th, when they visit Esbjerg.
