A representative for U.S. midfielder José Francisco Torres says talks with mildly interested party Deportivo de La Coruña have yet to move past the idea stage.
The Pachuca attacker was outed by manager Guillermo Rivarola last week as possible makeweight chip in a deal that could bring Mexico striker Omar Bravo back home from the Galicians, but no serious proposal has been brought in the matter as of yet.
"There's no fixed arrangement," Hans Rittinghausen, Torres' rep in Europe, told Soccer365 on Thursday. "There were some ideas, but no serious negotiations."
Though talk of joining the 2000 La Liga champs has cooled for now, the agent believes his client's inclusion on the roster of the Confederations Cup finalist U.S. National Team could eventually spark more interest overseas - even though he has not appeared in the tourney.
"There will be more interest in general to watch how the player is doing," said Rittinghausen. "Through this event, he will get more focus."
