The agent for Toronto FC right back Marvell Wynne has confirmed that the U.S. Olympic standout has received some late interest from European clubs.
Though unable to confirm any specific interested parties, Soccer365 has learned that the Pittsburgh native has had initial contact with multiple clubs on the continent.
"Marvell has had interest from Europe since the Olympics," Lyle Yorks told Soccer365, though he declined to comment any further.
Wynne, who has previously been mentioned as a potential Aston Villa target, would likely struggle to gain a UK work permit. The 22-year old does not currently have the ratio of U.S. games played required for immediate approval from the Home Office and his chances at receiving an "exceptional talent" pass on appeal are questionable.
Now back and rested from his buzz-causing USMNT show in China, Wynne is expected to be in the line-up when Toronto FC hosts Eastern rivals New England on Saturday.
