Torres Pleased With U.S. Debut
Fresh from making his U.S. National Team debut in a win over Cuba, youngster José Francisco Torres admitted it took him only a first touch to shake off any trepidations.
The Pachuca attacker, who worked the final minutes of a 6-1 victory on Saturday night, says the veteran 'Nats helped a great to prepare him in training.
"My nerves were calm when I first went in," Torres told reporters. "During the week, I got to know my teammates better during training."
"They have so much experience, playing in World Cups."
"The first ball, I was a little nervous," he recalled. "Once I got a hold of it, started passing, and started shooting, I was comfortable."
