IK Start defender Clarence Goodson is on cloud nine after being selected to the U.S. roster for their November 19th World Cup qualifier against Guatemala in Commerce City, Colorado.

The former FC Dallas man - who debuted for the Red, White & Blue in January - had an earlier call-up spoiled by a case of mononucleosis, but is now raring to go with the Norwegian season finished. 

Goodson enjoyed a stellar rookie campaign to help Start earn promotion to the top flight and is ready to claim the international reward.

"This is awfully good for me," he told the club website. "I am delighted to be called into the National Team."

"I was called up before, but was unable to go due to illness."
