U.S. right back Steve Cherundolo has declared that no less than a pair of victories will do when they clash with CONCACAF rivals Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago in World Cup qualifiers on September 6th and 10th.
The Americans opened the semifinal round by edging a 1-0 victory in Guatemala, thanks to a decisive header by captain Carlos Bocanegra.
I'm certain we'll win these matches, provided we play to our potential," Cherundolo told FIFA. "However - and I'm sure it won't happen - but if we fail to take these games seriously, it’ll be extremely difficult."
"Both countries are capable of very good football, but I'm still expecting two wins for us."
