Club Universidad Nacional, the Apertura 2015 first place regular season finishers of Liga MX, unveiled their third kit this past weekend as the Clasura 2016 season continues. The Pumas, seven-time champions of Mexico, have qualified for both the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League and the 2016 Copa Libertadores as a guest.


UNAM’s newest kit from Nike is a white and black kit. The sleeves feature a gradated effect, as they go from white to black. There is also black side piping running from the underarms on the jersey to the ends of the shorts, for a consistent uniform effect.


The main part of any UNAM jersey is the cougar, or puma head emblem in the center of the shirt. The head is in black, staying with the color scheme of the kit. The bottom of the shorts also have the gradient effect, as white fades into black. The socks are white with a black topstripe and have the puma head emblem in front.


There are several sponsors present on the kit. The front has Banamex over the Pumas emblem, ICI and Coca-Cola on the sleeves and the back of the shirt has Telcel and Herbalife. The UNAM Pumas 2016/17 third kit is available at WorldSoccerShop.com.
