Umbro have teased the imminent full release of the Umbro UX1 by having Joe Hart debut them against Everton and releasing a single image of the boot.

The UX1 is a boot that we are getting really excited about, especially as Umbro seem to be a brand very much on the rise after slumping considerably following being sold by Nike. While Umbro have released next to no information about the boot apart from this image, speculation is rife that the boot will be somewhat control-oriented.

As expected, Joe Hart gave the boot its full debut as Manchester City overcame Everton and we expect that the England number one will be one of many Umbro athletes donning the boot come this summer in Brasil.

While it was Joe Hart that was given the privilege of debuting the boot, a considerably less high profile Umbro footballer Eric Dier gave us the best look at the boot by tweeting out an image of his pair. The twenty year old Englishman, who plies his trade in Portugal, was famously included in a photo shoot for one of Umbro’s last England kit launches and is very much an up and coming star.

We expect Umbro to release more concrete information about the UX1 very soon so make sure to follow Soccer Confidential on Facebook and Twitter to hear the latest!
