A daring dash of blue to honor Toronto’s soccer history for the newest Reds away jersey. Toronto FC launched their newest adidas 2016 secondary jersey Tuesday, as they’ll be wearing red, white, and for the first time, blue. Honoring Toronto Metro-Croatia’s 1976 NASL Soccer Bowl victory, the look is sure to illicit a wide range of emotion from TFC’s supporters.
Canada’s first Major League Soccer club enters their tenth season with a white clash jersey with a red v-neck collar up top. The cuffs of the sleeves have a two-toned red and blue stripe. The adidas three-stripes, usually on the sleeves, are placed on the sides under the arms. The shirt’s main design is a red horizontal stripe with a thin blue stripe over it, creating a complimentary contrast.
The crest is in its usual club colors, and is at the heart of the jersey.
The backneck of the jersey’s collar has the club motto “All for One” in blue text over a white insert.
The bottom of the jersey has a metallic maple leaf at the jocktag area, instilling Canadian pride for the Reds. The jersey will come with red shorts and an alternate blue pair, with white socks with a blue stripe and a red “All for One” etched in red. BMO, Bank of Montreal retains shirt sponsor status for Toronto FC.
The 2016 adidas Toronto FC Away Jersey will be available soon at World Soccer Shop.
