Major League Soccer continues to expand their fan base with attendance at matches up 12+% in 2015 and TV ratings up as well. The passions and traditions of the game have the hard core and casual fans showing their support by wearing an official team jersey with their favorite player’s name and number on the back.
2015 saw the Clint Dempsey defend his title as the best-selling custom MLS jersey in the league. The Seattle Sounders forward is one of the most recognizable faces in the U.S. and it certainly does not hurt that the Sounders have the highest average attendance in the league at 44,247 or that he is still the go-to player for the U.S men’s national team (the #2-#8 players are all foreign Designated Players).

It should probably not be a huge surprise that expansion sides New York City FC and Orlando City SC had a good showing with 6 players in the Top 10.
