It has been over 50 years since Wales competed in a major international and the Football Association is making up for lost time by commissioning an official anthem for France 2016.

Manic Street Preachers were brought on to record Together Stronger (C’mon Wales) that will be released on May 20th.  The song will according to a release celebrate ‘past and present members of the squad and their appearance in a major football tournament for the first time in over half a century’ with profits going to Welsh charities Princes Gate Trust and Tenovus Cancer Care.

“It was fantastic to be involved with such an iconic Welsh band. Manic Street Preachers have been passionate Welsh football supporters and all the lads enjoyed the experience and joined in,” Welsh manager Chris Coleman said.
