Liga MX side Tigres UANL have garnered much attention over the last month by first signing French international striker André-Pierre Gignac then advancing to the finals of the 2015 Copa Libertadores competition.
Tigres revealed their 2015/16 adidas home and away kits before sensationally defeating Brazil’s SC Internacional on aggregate in the semi-finals of South America’s club championship (Mexican teams participate as invitees).
The home uniform was worn for the second leg of the series in Nuevo León last Wednesday. It is in Tigres classic gold with blue details that include a classy polo collar. In the club’s tradition, the text “TIGRES” is printed across the front of the home and away jerseys.
The blue Tigres UANL 15/16 away shirt uses a widely used adidas v-neck design that is accented by white meshing along collar, sleeve cuffs and waistline. A series of subtle tonal stripes run across the mid-front of the jersey to complete a modern look that constrats with the classic feel of the three-time Mexican Primera champions’ primary kit.
The Tigres 15/16 Home Jersey is available at World Soccer Shop.
