Michael Bradley is the latest sports star to go to work for ESPN. He showed up at the Connecticut offices of the sports network giant holding the hand of a local boy who then followed the midfielder around as he took care of his daily tasks in the latest ‘This is SportsCenter’ video series.
The video is a parody of the soccer tradition of local children holding hands and leading players out on the field ahead of the national anthems. A nice tradition but one that still makes some fans scratch their heads and wonder what it is all about which makes this ESPN spot so successful.
Bradley walks into the office to applause ready for action with his USA N98 Training Jacket on before getting down to work sorting mail, making copies, and taking a restroom break all with the child leading him around by the hand in a USA Home Soccer Jersey.
