Switzerland and long-time technical supplier PUMA on Tuesday launched the latest away kit ahead of EURO 2016 in France. La Nati have a very fresh jersey on tap, that’ll be sure to grab some attention. The new jersey will make its on-field debut in a friendly with the Republic of Ireland on March 25.
“I really like what PUMA has done with the new Swiss away kit – it is quite different from our usual style so I am looking forward to wearing it for the first time on pitch in March as well as at the Euros, which are only around the corner,” Stephan Lichtsteiner of the Swiss National Team said. “I particularly like how the cross from our Swiss flag is a focal point of the shirt that really stands out, it gives us a sense of pride to represent our country.”
The Swiss change kit comes in white with red details. The collar is a v-neck style, with the front in red. Thick red sleeve cuffs are broken up by both the underarm side panels and the shoulder stripe, both in white. Red PUMA Cats are present on the sleeves.
At the heart of the shirt, a red ASF-SFV emblem is placed, with a PUMA cat in the same color on the right side.
The design of this new Swiss kit has horizontal red stripes, with the largest stripe featuring a white Swiss cross, and the stripes going thinner in strokes as it descends down to the hem. The side panels break up the center stripe, and thermal details are on both the front and back of the jersey.
A PowerCell logo in placed in the jocktag area of the bottom of the shirt.
The kit is complete with white shorts and socks, with a sweet red-striped pattern on the socks’ topstripe.
