Barca are believed to be keen to bring in a left-sided attacker and, after David Silva's decision to commit his future to Valencia last week, could turn their attention to Spain new boy Capel.
Speaking on Monday, the 20-year-old winger admitted it was nice to hear talk of this nature but insisted he is enjoying life with Sevilla.
"It's a compliment that a team like Barca are looking at me. It means that I am doing things well, but I have a contract with Sevilla and I am relaxed," said Capel, who could make his Spain debut against Denmark on Wednesday after being included in new coach Vicente del Bosque's first squad selection.
"I don't know what will happen in the future. I have a contract for three more years and I'm not thinking about this. I am very happy here."
He added: "Right now I am only thinking about Sevilla. It's clear that one must always search for better goals. In football nobody knows what is going to happen, but at the moment I have a lot of things to thank Sevilla for.
"I cannot say that I am going to spend all my career at Sevilla because in the world of football nobody knows what's going to happen," Capel added on radio station Cope.
