Southampton Football Club unveiled the 2015/16 home soccer jersey last week. After wearing an unbranded jersey this season, adidas will return as the team’s official technical sponsor for next season and will provide the home, away, training, and other licensed apparel.
The traditional red and white stripes will once again be the focus for fans at St. Mary’s Stadium. The striped jersey features a white ribbed crew collar that creates a halo effect that is inspired from the club’s nickname, the Saints. The adidas 3-Stripes emanate and run down the top of the shoulder and ¾ down the solid red sleeve.
The Southampton team badge is over the heart while the adidas logo is centered on the jersey under the neck in the middle red stripe. The club’s jersey sponsor, Veho, will be on the center of the jersey.
A white insert is included at the waist of the jersey on each side seam.
With 1 week remaining in the 2014/15 Premier League campaign, Southampton have secured their best ever finish in England top flight. The Saints can finish no worse than 7th place and could potentially finish as high as 5th depending on results from the final matchday.
The club launched the jersey with the #ShowYourStripes.
