The English Premier League is scheduled to have Friday night matches for the 2016/17 season as part of their new $8 Billion 3-year deal but fans will get a sneak peak of the joy to come this weekend when Aston Villa hosts Manchester United on Friday, August 14 due to ‘unique circumstances.’  The West Midland Police denied the fixture for Saturday with an English Defense League march planned on that day while the Red Devils UEFA Champions League match next week denied the Sunday matchday.

The Bundesliga has regularly played Friday matches for the past seasons and they will kick-off the 2015/16 campaign when Bayern Munich hosts Hamburg on August 14.  These Friday evening matches will continue through the season unlike in the Premier League and some available to watch in the U.S. with Fox Sports announcing they secured the U.S. TV rights to the European league some consider the most competitive from top-to-bottom.

The UEFA Super Cup which matches the winners from the UEFA Champions League, Barcelona, and UEFA Europa League, Sevilla, is on Tuesday, August 11 at Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi, Georgia.  The 2 La Liga clubs will return to Spain to open their domestic campaigns the weekend of August 21.

Most teams have unveiled their new looks for the 2015/16 campaign but some are still in the process of releasing them.  Arsenal is scheduled to unveil their 2015/16 Third jersey on Thursday while Manchester United will unveil on Thursday and be wearing their new adidas away jersey in their Friday night match.  The Celtic third jersey is also schedule to be released on Friday.
