Making their European Championships debut, the Slovak Football Association (SFZ) will be eager to face their opposition in EURO 2016 in France. The Slovaks revealed their new away jersey from technical supplier PUMA on Tuesday. Repre will debut this bold new two-tone look in a friendly against fellow EURO 2016 qualifier the Republic of Ireland on March 29th.
“We are delighted to provide the Slovakian National Team with a strong and fresh new look as the team go into their first ever European Championships,” Johan Adamsson, Global Director of Sports Marketing & Sports Licensing said at the unveiling. “PUMA is proud to be a part of this historic moment in Slovakian football, and we wish the team the very best in the tournament in the summer.”
Slovakia’s away kit comes in three shades of blue with white details. The body of the jersey is a 2-tone blue that provides a striped look with stripes of various widths while the shoulder panels are in light blue with the PUMA car on each shoulder. The collar is a crew neck collar with an inward v-cut at the front center.
Slovakia’s coat of arms is located at the heart of the shirt, instilling national pride. A white PUMA cat takes the center, with the SFZ logo over the heart. Tonal vertical broken stripes are the design far more vibrant than the previous away kit.
Thermal taping details are on the front and back of the jersey, with solid underarm side panels breaking up the stripes.
The bottom of the shirt has a PowerCell logo, on the left side.
Slovakia’s kit comes complete with blue socks and shorts with the light blue complimenting as the secondary.
PUMA’s Euro 2016 Slovakia Away jersey will be available soon at World Soccer Shop.
