Seattle Sounders FC Thursday unveiled new home and away kits for the 2015 season. With a history dating as far back as the original NASL, the Sounders have a rich history in the North American soccer landscape. The Sounders captured a double in 2014, as they would win their fourth US Open Cup as an MLS team, and the Supporters’ Shield as the team with the best regular season record. Seattle would get bounced out by away goals in the Western Conference Finals by eventual champion Los Angeles.

The home kit is in Rave Green with Sounder Blue trim. The collar is a simple blue crew neck with green neck trim. the adidas three-stripe trim and simple sleeve stripe on the arms and stripe near the hem of the shirt are in Sounder Blue. The pattern on the home jersey has pinstripes on the chest. This year’s kit combination has blue shorts and socks with green trim, a surprising change from the green socks usually worn by the club.

The away kit features more unexpected changes, as the club drops exotic and vibrant colors in favor of a white set for the secondary. For the first time in their MLS history, Seattle will be wearing white. The kit features Rave Green trim, with the template from the home kit also used here. The jersey has two different widths for the light gray stripes present on the chest, with a light glossy effect on them.

Rave Green is used on the sleeves and collar. The MLS badges on the sleeves for both kits has Sounder Blue over Rave Green with white shield outline trim and Rave Green as the outer layer. The away kit comes complete with white shorts and socks with Rave Green trim, with a tonal gradient on the socks from white to green. Microsoft’s XBOX returns as the sponsor.

The 2015/16 Seattle Sounders home and away kits will be available at WorldSoccerShop.com and other fine retailers.
