FC Santa Claus has teamed up with Nike to provide the club’s 2016 Home and Away Soccer jerseys. The Rovaniemi, Finland based club has a classic solid red home and white away jersey with crew collar fitting of Jolly Old Saint Nick himself.
The club badge featuring Santa Claus checking his list twice is over the heart while the club’s annual tournament, the Santa Claus Cup, is the front of the jersey sponsor. The international tournament will be held July 5-9 next year. The Nike Swoosh is over the right chest.
“We are excited to work with World Soccer Shop for a second year,” FC Santa’s Juha Eteläinen Communications Director told 365.WorldSoccerShop. “It is a great partnership not only FC Santa Claus but also for the town of Rovaniemi. The exposure our club and city will have to the United States and international soccer community as a whole is very important to us. We look forward to wearing Nike this upcoming season as we hope to build on our successful 2015 season in the Finnish 2nd division. Don’t stop believing!”
Santa is a part of every aspect of the club. Saint Nick roams the sidelines during matches and the club’s training facility is called the ‘Santa Sport.’
After earning promotion to the Finish 2nd division in 2014, the team finished tied for 5th place and avoided the drop.
The jerseys will make their on-field debuts when the 2016 campaign kicks off in April. It is the first time the club has worn Nike jerseys.
The North Pole is home to Santa Claus but the exclusive home for official gear of FC Santa Claus is World Soccer Shop. The FC Santa 2016 home Jersey is available in men’s, women’s, and youth sizing. And don’t be caught out in the cold without your FC Santa Claus scarf or other range from the club’s apparel collection.
