Jersey Week in Major League Soccer continued on Sunday as 2009 MLS Cup winner Real Salt Lake revealed their new 2015/16 secondary kit. The Claret and Cobalt enter their tenth year of existence in the league. RSL were eliminated from the MLS Playoffs by the eventual champion LA Galaxy in last season’s Western Conference Semifinals.
The kit has an evolution of design. The previous away shirt had only one cobalt sleeve on the right arm. The new secondary kit has cobalt on both sleeves, with both jerseys mainly in white. The collar is white, in a v-neck style. The neck stripe on the interior has cobalt and yellow with the team’s motto, “The TEAM is the Star.” The back of the shirt has a 3D version of the team’s alternate logo, a lion’s head with an outlined mane and crown, placed under the collar. The adidas three stripes seen on the sleeves are yellow. A thick claret cuffed trim can be seen on the ends of the sleeves, cut off toward the outer sleeves. The new MLS emblems on both sleeves are in the team colors of cobalt and claret with yellow trim.
The chest is a solid white. The crest has a special effect with crowns printed within the badge. There is a thick cobalt bar at the hem of the shirt, wrapping around the back of the shirt. The shorts and socks are white with cobalt trim, with the shorts are having a thick stripe at the bottom, and the socks having a crown and tonal gradient effect. LifeVantage returns as the team’s sponsor for a second season.
Real Salt Lake’s 2015/16 Away Kit will be available at WorldSoccerShop.com and other fine retailers.
