Real achieved La Decima after defeating crosstown rival Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday
For the tenth time in club history, Real Madrid are the Kings of European football. Real Madrid outlasted city rival Atletico Madrid 4-1 after extra time in the UEFA Champions League Final in Lisbon for their tenth European Cup. To honor this special occasion, adidas has a new shirt that will spark prideful emotions for supporters of the victorious Blancos.
This special t-shirt has the adidas logo and Real’s badge at the top. A huge graphic with “LA DECIMA 10” in blue is the main attraction for the shirt. Within the 0 are the years that Real Madrid reigned over Europe. The Spanish side won the first five versions of the tournament from 1955-56 to 59-60. The club also won the 1965-66 edition in the older format. When the format changed to the current Champions League in the 1992-93 season, Real would win three more times, 1997-98, 1999-2000 and 2001-02.
Beneath the blue graphic are the UEFA Champions League logo, the Lisbon Final 2014 logo, and the text “CAMPEONES 1956-2014,” all in golden yellow
