Following a previous spell as the Pumas kit manufacturer between 1995 and 2002, Nike have returned with an inspirational design as Pumas celebrate their 60th anniversary.
Based on the jersey worn by the first ever Championship winning Pumas side of 1976-77, Nike honors the blue and gold colors that were chosen as a tribute to the University of Notre Dame. The jersey will retain its traditional look and add a modern twist to a new team logo.
The gold color dominates the new home jersey, combining a touch of navy blue and featuring a new round neck. The famous logo of the Pumas is presented at the front of the jersey in a style that provides a modern, clean and minimalist look. The Banamex logo is placed centrally above the Pumas badge, with a Nike logo in the top right, both in navy blue.
The shirt features the UNAM logo stamped on the left shoulder, paying homage to the clubs strong connection to the university.
The away jersey is a reversal of the home kit. A classy dark blue is the main color, with a touch of gold for the Pumas logo, Banamex and Nike logos. As with the home jersey, it also has a round neck and a UNAM logo on the left sleeve, this time in gold.
