Club Universidad Nacional, better known as Pumas, have revealed their new home and away jerseys. The striking designs are inspired by the outer walls of the UNAM Central Library.
Home shirt features their classic gold and blue combination with the iconic Puma face returning to the front. A Pre-Hispanic design which is part of the mural seen on the walls of the Central Library of National Autonomous University of Mexico. It represents the ancient beliefs of life, birth and Mexico’s foundation. Nike logo is sewn to the upper right chest, while Coca-Cola and ICO logos are placed on the sleeves.
Away jersey switches to blue as main color, using gold for the Puma face and Nike’s Swoosh, and white for the sponsor logos on the sleeves. The graphic also changes, now showing another part of the mural that represents the mysteries of death and the end of the world in Pre-Hispanic culture.
Pumas 2016/17 home and away jerseys will be available on July 15th at World Soccer Shop.
