After unveiling the new colorway for the Puma Tricks collection last week, players were out in force with the dual color cleats in league action over the weekend.

Antoine Griezmann got a head start on the celebrations, debuting his new look last weekend but for the rest of the Puma team this was the week.  He was back in the cleat for Atletico Madrid’s 1-0 win over Malaga to keep his team level on points with leaders Barcelona.

The new look was easy to spot on fields around the world.


Sergio Agüero wasted no time breaking in his new look with a first half penalty in Manchester City’s 4-0 win over Stoke City.  The Argentinean was substituted out in the second half no doubt resting him for bigger matches to come with the UEFA Champions League semifinal ties starting this week.


Teammate Yaya Toure was not so fortunate with an injury forcing him off before the final whistle.


Cesc Fabregas did not find the back of the net but was no doubt Chelsea’s top player in the 4-1 win over Bournemouth.  The Spanish midfielder created the first 3 goals and played a big part in the final goal.  The day’s work pushed him to 3rd on the all-time Premier League Assists Leaders with 95 only behind former teammate Frank Lampard (102) and former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs (162).


Liverpool’s Adam Lallana got an early run out with the Red playing the Merseyside Derby 4-0 victory on Wednesday and found the lethal touch in their 2-2 draw with Newcastle on Saturday.  The midfielder appeared to give the home side the needed momentum with a 2-0 advantage at the half but the relegation threatened Magpies fought back to share the points.

Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud along with defenders Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal pulled on the look in the Gunners 0-0 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.


Elsewhere in Europe, Marco Reus pulled Tricks in Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 win over Stuttgart.  The win temporarily delayed Bayern Munich being crowned Bundesliga champions with Dortmund still mathematically in the hunt 7 points behind Bayern with 3 games remaining.

Some other players in the colorway were Sporting Gijon’s defender Roberto Canella, Markus Karl of Kaiserslautern, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Makoto Hasebe, Giulio Donati of Mainz, U.S. raised Vedad Ibisevic of Hertha Berlin, Martin Harnik of Stuttgart, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting of Schalke, Halil Altintop of Augsburg, and Martin Harnik of VfB Stuttgart


It was not only the players with the new Tricks colorway as Leicester City’s mascot Filbert the Fox was also sporting a pair of the cleats.
