Puma took over as Arsenal’s technical sponsor ahead of the 2014/15 Premier League season and in each of the initial 3 years have provided the Gunners with unique yet traditional jersey designs. PUMA Senior Product Line Manager for Teamsport Apparel Eduardo Ayala took a moment to highlight the design details of the 2016/17 PUMA Arsenal home, away and third jerseys.
Arsenal’s home jersey has to include the iconic red body with red sleeves but the 2016/17 season’s edition features a darker red stripe down the center of the jersey related back to the color of the club badge proudly displayed over the heart. The jersey also includes a gothic ‘A’ on the back below the collar.
The Arsenal 2016/17 Away Jersey is the yellow frequently used with the change kit but is a darker yellow then previous editions. A subtle pinstripe is embossed in the body of the jersey and ties into the narrow yellow and navy hoops on the sleeve cuff. The Arsenal cannon logo is on the back under the collar.
The future of the club is the inspiration of the Arsenal 2016/17 third jersey. The jersey is a dark peacoat blue with a sublimation print on the front and back of sleeves along with a fluorescent safety yellow to make it ‘pop and very loud.’
