Described as one of the most energetic fan groups in the world, Borussia Dortmund certainly has quite the reputation. PUMA’s partnership with the club has been beneficial not only for their first team but also for their youth academy.
PUMA hand picked 16 players from across 3 clubs in the United States to travel to Dortmund, Germany for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The players were able to test their skills in training sessions and a test match against BVB’s Performance Class.
In addition, PUMA granted the players access to BVB’s highly coveted Footbonaut. Once inside, this 360 degree cube delivers a ball and the player must place it into an illuminated target among the 64 surrounding them. The players ran through a number of training simulations with one of the BVB youth coaches describing the experience as “A dream come true.”
Of course, no trip is complete without a tour of the legendary Signal Iduna Park courtesy of PUMA with access to locker rooms, tunnel, and a pitch-side view.
Big thanks to PUMA for inviting us along on this experience. Stay tuned for interviews with players, coaches, and more!
