Puma completed a major coup last year when they signed Arsenal to a 5-year jersey and apparel deal and the German-based brand is going all out with their debut line-up. After launching the new ‘Forever’ home jersey, the ‘Victorious’ away jersey, and the ‘Future’ Cup/third jersey on Thursday, Puma has unveiled a limited edition of the evoSpeed and evoPower in the Gunners colors.
The cleats will be worn exclusively by PUMA’s sponsored Arsenal players on the field.
The cleats will feature a different color to the left and right cleat continuing on a trend they started earlier this year with the Tricks Edition cleats that have been seen at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The evoPower comes in Red/White/Florescent Blue/Yellow. The right cleat has a white base with the Puma cat and puma logo in red along with a blue detailing along the EverFit Cage on the instep. The left cleat is red with the puma cat and brand logo in white and the EverFit Cage in blue on the instep.
The outsole is white with florescent yellow details on the back 5-studs. The tips of the studs are silver.
The evoSpeed comes in White/High Risk Red/Empire Yellow. It is a little more reserved in appearance of the two cleats with a more matte finish.
The white right cleat has ‘PUMA’ spelled out on the instep. The individual letters are made up of ‘PUMA’ spelled in smaller text that is red and the toe and gradual turn to blue for the ‘A’. The left cleat is red with the PUMA and smaller puma text in white gradual changing to blue but placed on the outstep.
The collar and tongue of each cleat is the opposite color of the cleat.
But the launch is not all about Arsenal. These are the latest versions of the evoSpeed and evoPower silos. The 1.3 editions have been updated to include an external EverFit Cage on the midfoot and a smoother and lighter micro-fiber outer layer on the upper.
What do you think about the new Arsenal evoSpeed and evoPower cleats? Do you like the two-color cleats?
