After a 20 year run with Nike, PSV Eindhoven are rumored to be on the verge of signing a 5-year kit deal with Umbro. The deal has not been finalized or signed but Dutch sports journalist Thijs Slegers is reporting it is a done deal.
Umbro, a brand previously owned by Nike, outbid the Swoosh for the kit. Umbro will start providing the kit for the 2015/16 season. PSV has been with Nike since 1995.
The Red and Whites are 1 of the Netherland’s ‘big three’ teams, along with Ajax and Feyenoord, and have never been relegated from the top division, the Eredivisie. They are currently on top of the table and looking to add to their 21 league titles. PSV won the 1987/88 European Cup (now known as the UEFA Champions League).
