PSV Eindhoven of the Dutch Eredivisie have unveiled new kits for the 2015/16 season. De Boeren (The Peasants), for the first time in seven seasons, won the Eredivisie for the twenty-second time in club history in 2014/15. They took the league crown in comfortable fashion, finishing fifteen points ahead of rival Ajax.
PSV are also under new kit suppliers. Umbro takes over for Nike, after the latter spent twenty seasons with the Eindhoven outfit.
PSV’s home kit comes in the traditional red and white stripes with black and gold details.
The polo collar on the jersey comes in black with a gold striped trim in the middle.
The back of the shirt has the Dutch phrase “Eendracht Maakt Macht (Unity is Strength)” in gold with white lettering under the collar. Most of the backside is in white, for easier viewing of the name and numbers.
The sleeves are a solid red with an Umbro wordmark over the cuffs.
PSV’s badge is at the heart of the shirt, with two golden stars above it. Umbro’s Double Diamond logo is across the chest, in white.
On the sides at the bottom of the shirt are black details with gold trim.
Completing the home look, PSV’s shorts are black with gold trim, and have red and white hooped socks with a white PSV wordmark on the back.
PSV’s away kit comes in blue, with dark blue and fluorescent red also present. The polo collar on the home kit is replaced with a round collar with bright red trim at the top. The fluorescent hue can be seen on the shoulders and at the bottom of the shirt, on the sides. The main design on the shirt are horizontal stripes in a darker shade of blue with a slashed effect.
The back of the shirt has the same quote as in the home kit, but in the bright red hue with white lettering. The shorts are blue with fluorescent trim, and the socks are hooped, with the two shades of blue. A PSV wordmark is on the back of the socks.
For the thirty-third consecutive year, PSV’s main sponsor is Phillips. The sponsor breaks up the red stripes on the home kit, coming in black text over a white section on the chest. On the change kit, it’s in a solid white.
