As we edge closer to the new season kicking off, we’ve scanned through all of last week’s action to bring you its best boot spots.

Joe Hart – Nike Magista Obra
Joe Hart looks set to ditch Umbro and join up with Nike after being spotted wearing the Magista during City’s pre-season tour in the United States. Hart has taken the very basic step of attempting to cover up the Nike swoosh on the boot by applying athletic tape over it, indicating that he may still be contracted by Umbro.

Nemanja Vidic – Nike Tiempo Legend
Nemanja Vidic also seems to have opted for Nike as the new Inter Milan signing turned out in the Tiempo Legend. While at Manchester United Vidic was a prominent Puma man and most recently wore the evoPower, however it seems that joining a new club has also warranted a new pair of boots for the Serbian.

Samir Nasri – Warrior Superheat
If our suspicions prove correct then Warrior have nabbed a big player in the form of Samir Nasri. Despite being snubbed by Didier Deschamps ahead of the World Cup, Nasri is still very much a big name and was spotted in a mysterious pair of white-out boots last week. On closer inspection it seems that the boot he was wearing is the Warrior Superheat, the American brand’s speed boot. City teammate Alvaro Negredo was also spotted in a similar looking boot suggesting that a double signing may well be on the cards.

Adam Brown – adidas Predator LZ II
Adam Brown of St Mirren
For good reason we never really saw this black/citrus Predator LZ colourway on the feet of many high profile professionals when it came out in December last year. Released soon after adidas’ first World Cup pack, the Samba Pack, this considerably less flashy colourway was part of a far more subtle black pack.

Falcao – Puma evoSpeed Tricks
After missing out on the World Cup, Monaco front-man Falcao has finally started to make his comeback. Interestingly, instead of opting for the new Puma EvoSpeed 1.3, Falcao chose to make his comeback in the Tricks colourway released for the World Cup.

Lee Wallace – Nike Mercurial Vapor X
After a very bright coloured World Cup, Nike launched its Stealth Pack featuring blacked out colourways for all of the brand’s boots. Ranger’s man Lee Wallace was spotted in the black/hyper-punch Mercurial Vapor X, an awesome look for Nike’s speed boot.

Fernando Torres – adidas Predator Instinct
The arrival of one Diego Costa means this has to be Fernando Torres’ make or break season with Chelsea. As with all of Spain’s World Cup contingent, Torres has an abysmal World Cup and will be hoping for better things to come this season. The Chelsea front-man was spotted wearing the new adidas Predator Instinct in the classic red, white and black colour scheme that the boot is known for.

Fernando Menegazzo – adidas f50 adiZero Messi
Instead of wearing the regular adiZero World Cup colourway, Menegazzo has gone for the colourway that was reserved for Lionel Messi. Unlike the rest of the Battle Pack, Messi’s own colourway featured a patriotic splash of blue to represent Argentina. Certainly an interesting boot choice for Menegazzo, who himself is Brazilian.
