The National Premier Soccer League, the 4th division of U.S. soccer, announced this week that they have signed a partnership with PUMA as the Preferred Vendor Program.  The deal will make the German based brand the Preferred Cleat this season and the Uniform Supplier for 2014 and 2015.

PUMA will be a visible partner.  The PUMA Golden Boot will be awarded to the league’s top goalscorer, the PUMA Player of the Game will be announced after each playoff match, and the PUMA Power Rankings will replace the current Top 20 Media Poll.

“NPSL is excited to welcome global brand PUMA to the growing NPSL family of sponsors and partners, especially in a World Cup year where PUMA teams will be showcased on the world’s biggest stage,” NPSL Commissioner Michael Hitchcock remarked. “Through this partnership, over 80 NPSL teams and 2,000+ NPSL players will have a chance to wear the same gear and cleats as the world’s top players.  PUMA shares the NPSL’s commitment to growing the sport of soccer in communities all over the United States.”
