FC Barcelona, long revered as a global institution in the sport of soccer, credits one constant as the source for the development of its stars. La Masia, nestled near the hallowed ground of the Camp Nou, trains players from a young age and develops them into top players with a sound philosophy from the very top of the club to the bottom; to pass and move.  It is this very essence with La Masia’s youthful spirit that Nike introduces their latest away kit for the 2014/15 season.

The jersey has a crewneck collar and it’s sleeve cuffs are dark red on the front and blue on the back. The back of the collar has the Senyera, the Catalan flag, between the blue and dark red traditional colors of the club. The design is carried over to the back of the collar, with a “Barça” wordmark in blue, and the club’s unique font below it. On the interior, the blue pennant tab has the club’s trademark motto “Mes que un club,” “More than a club” with the founding year of the club, 1899, below.

The socks have the blue Barça wordmark on the front of the socks beneath the swoosh logo, and the backside has a tonal chevron pattern. FC Barcelona is looking to bounce back this season, after a 2013-14 campaign which ended with the Catalan giants only winning the Spanish Supercup. With the incoming transfers of Uruguayan international Luis Suárez, who won’t be able to contribute until later in the season, and Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitić among others, they will have to make up for several losses to the squad, including goalkeeper Victor Valdes, midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez. How do you feel about the new Blaugrana away kit? Like the bright crimson look?
