By Hunter York – Nike is great at marketing their products, especially for cleat unveilings, and the Hypervenom Phantom II will no doubt turn a lot of heads when it finally releases.  But could the release be sooner than we think?


Nike Football has even gone as far to post this Instagram photo leaving a blank space in the middle presumably for the next generation of the Hypervenom.

Neymar has been spotted training in a blacked out cleat leaving many to believe an official release is just around the corner. 

If I had to guess, Nike will use the largest stage possible in club soccer, UEFA Champions League final, to have Neymar debut the new generation from Nike with Barcelona playing the winner of the Real Madrid vs Juventus semifinal tie.

And the swoosh appear to be reminiscing about some great moments from the current generation on twitter and it has sparked some debate interest that the current Phantom is set to be replaced very soon.

The Hypervenom line up was introduced into the world of soccer in May of 2013 with the tag line “A new breed of attack”. The cleat focused more on agility and grip as well as a large striking area. The cleat has been a huge hit among amateurs and professionals alike including Neymar, Mauro Icardi, and Robert Lewandowski.
