Nike have launched their Summer 2015 Cleat Collection with a new colorway for each of their 4 silos – Mercurial, HyperVenom, Magista, and Tiempo – that take inspiration from the vibrancy of summer time.
The star of the show is the new bright red Mercurial Superfly. Set to be worn by the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Luka Modric it features a predominantly red upper with a purple swoosh. While Cristiano Ronaldo is most commonly associated with the Superfly, he will be wearing his own signature Silverware colorway instead of this.
The Hypervenom has been given a truly hi-vis makeover in the form of a Volt colorway. Designed for the modern striker, this latest Hypervenom has, like the Mercurial, a purple swoosh that contrasts nicely with the rest of the upper. We saw a volt version of the Mercurial released with the Highlight Pack, and it looks as if Nike have merely transplanted that same colorway on to the Hypervenom. We’re not complaining though, as if the Volt Mercurial was anything to go by, this will look incredible on pitch.
Nike’s groundbreaker, the Magista, has received an orange re-up along with, you guessed it, a purple swoosh. The Magista was released with some fan-fare as it heralded a new wave of design from Nike with the introduction of the dynamic fit collar and FlyKnit. Expect to see a lot of this colourway, including on the feet of the likes of David Luiz and Mario Gotze. Arguably the most colourful of the Summer 2015 pack, this new Magista features a sleek two-tone orange, purple and black combination.
Finally, featuring the same colors as the Magista, the brand new Tiempo caps off the Summer 2015 collection. Nike have adopted a two-tone design philosophy with the new Tiempo, and this is exemplified in the two tones of orange utilized in this colorway. This is contrasted with the purple swoosh, the unifying feature of all four of these colorways.
The Nike Summer 2015 collection will be available at World Soccer Shop from the beginning of April 2015.
