The worst kept secret in the soccer cleat world the last few weeks was that Nike was preparing to launch a new colorway for the Hypervenom.  And with players pulling the new look on early, Nike went ahead and officially unveiled the Blue/Black/Volt colorway today.

Blue_Volt_medialBorussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski (above) was the first player to break-in his new colorway and other Hypervenom players like Schalke 04’s Kevin-Prince Boateng, and Barcelona’s  Adriano have followed suit.

The colorway is the 1st of 2014 and the 7th since the Hypervenom was released in 2013.  The combination of the dark navy and black with the standout Volt yellow swoosh is getting great reviews with some saying this is the best colorway to date of the cleat.

The Hypervenom is geared to a ‘new breed of attack’ and replaced the Nike T90 silo.  The cleat was designed around the changing game where players are required to have the combination of speed with the ball in tight spaces along with power.
