Nike’s Highlight pack has brought color back to the field just as spring and the colors associated with it pops out around the world. The new look for spring 2015 pull out the detail colors used on the swoosh and soles of the ‘Shine Through’ Collection.
The Mercurial makes a strong and loud statement much like the players that pull them on each week, most notably the posterboy of the Superfly, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Superfly and the Vapor X turn to one of Nike favorite colors, Volt. The high intensity upper is paired with ‘hyper pink’ details.
The upper has the swoosh outlined in black along with the detail text but the collar stays true to the upper color. The black is pushed to the outsole where it is matched with a selection of Hyper Pink studs.
The flyknit with dynamic-fit collar may get most of the PR for the silo the players tend to prefer the more traditional Vapor X with low-cup collar and the thin synthetic microfiber upper.
The Highlight pack will be worn on field by players still in the UEFA Champions League. Ronaldo for the Superfly and Theo Walcott, Eden Hazard and Franck Ribery ready to pull on the Vapor X.
What do you think of the new Mercurial Vapor paint job? Do you prefer the louder colors of the Highlight pack or the cleaner look of the Shine Through pack?
