Nike have rolled out four stunning new colorways for their Fall 2014 boot collection.
Set to be debuted on pitches throughout Europe this week, Nike’s latest batch of colorways are in stark contrast to the “Stealth Pack” they released post-World Cup. All of Nike’s boots, the Magista, Tiempo V, Mercurial Superfly, and Hypervenom have been given a vibrant color upgrade set to light up the feet of every player on the pitch.
The boot at the head of this new collection is the Mercurial Superfly. While the boot’s most notable wearer, Cristiano Ronaldo, will not be wearing this colorway other super stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Ribery most certainly will.
The colorway itself is relatively simple, a base “Laser Orange” that is complemented by the iconic white Nike swoosh. We actually caught sight of this colorway earlier this week as Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez broke into his new pair of boots during a training session.
Nike’s newest silo, the Magista, has received a “Hyper-Turquoise” make over. The turquoise is complemented by the same “Laser Orange” seen on the Mercurial Superly and makes for what will surely be a polarizing colorway.
The Magista were somewhat of a revelation when released by Nike prior to the World Cup, primarily because it marked the brand’s first ever use of FlyKnit along with the introduction of the Dynamic Fit Collar.
The boot designed for out and out attackers, the Hypervenom features a two toned orange design, officially dubbed as “Hyper Crimson”.
While this colorway will feature prominently in European ties this week, it has actually already received its debut.
Neymar, one of the Hypervenom’s main men, got off to a scoring start in his new boots as he wore it during during Barcelona’s game against Bilbao.
Finally Nike’s more traditional boot, the Tiempo Legend V has been given a very contrasting make over.
The boot features the “Hyper Crimson” also seen on the Hypervenom on most of the outstep and soleplate of the boot, while “Neo Turqoise” covers the rest of the boot. While this latest Tiempo is a very un-traditional design for a boot inspired by tradition, it is in keeping with the design philosophy Nike have been following for the Legend V.
Speaking about the new collection Nike Football’s Design Director, Denis Dekovic, explained the rationale behind the designs: “For our new collection, we utilized vibrant colors to create a striking new look on-pitch. Our intention here was to amplify color as much as possible. We wanted to produce the brightest possible colors and really tap into their vibrancy”.
The whole Fall 2014 range is available for pre-order now at WorldSoccerShop, with the official release date set for September 25th.
