Chivas de Guadalajara´s poor start to the season continued Saturday, with the team giving up a goal lead to lose 2-1 at home against Morelia.

The result leaves Chivas propping up the league table on one point and with just two goals all season.

“We´ve haven´t picked up points and haven´t won at home,” said captain Hector Reynoso after the game. “We don´t deserve anything other than last place. All that is left is to work hard, show attitude and confront the bullets, because the criticism is coming hard.”

Chivas replaced coach Fernando Quirarte with Ignacio Ambriz after the team lost the first three consecutive games of the Clausura 2012 tournament, but the change has only produced one point in the last two games.

At the other end of the league, Santos Laguna won 2-1 against Pumas and is three points clear at the top of the league.

Reigning champions Tigres produced a clinical 1-0 away victory in the Azteca stadium against Club America, with Hector Mancilla getting the goal.

Santos Laguna, Cruz Azul and Pachuca are the only teams still unbeaten.

The relegation battle between Estudiantes Tecos and Atlas was an anti-climax, with Atlas having most the play and striking the posts three times, but the game ended 0-0.

Estudiantes Tecos are four points out of reach of Atlas in the race to stay up.
